The Myconians are a race of sentient - and territorial - mushroom folk. They can be found in caves, bogs, forests, and graveyards. Among them live the Ferals, a caste of sightless brutes who perceive the world through spore-sense.
When Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago first came out, IMike noticed an entry in the bestiary for a Violent Mushroom. While he don't think this is what McCullough had in mind, this is where his brain took the idea.

This model is 3d Printed, and is scaled to approximately 32mm scale, standing about 24mm high (Mike envisions the Ferals being shorter than the average Human).
When printed at 100% scale it fits comfortably on a 25mm base).
